Taste of Organic Parsley:

CADIA® Organic Parsley is mild, green, and quietly essential. Its flavor is clean and faintly grassy, with a light peppery edge and none of the sharpness that stronger dried herbs bring — which is precisely why it appears in so many recipes. Dried parsley rehydrates in liquid and releases its character gradually, so it works best stirred into soups, sauces, and dressings where it has a moment to soften. The bright flecks of green add visual life to pale dishes, and the flavor rounds out heavier seasonings rather than competing with them. Where other herbs announce themselves, parsley makes everything around it taste a little fresher.

CADIA® 0.3 oz. Organic Parsley is grown organically and carefully dried to preserve color and aroma, non-irradiated and non-ETO. Packaged in a glass jar that protects it from light and keeps the leaf fresh between uses. Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, and Kosher.

Uses for Organic Parsley:

Parsley is the most broadly useful herb in the rack. Stir it into chicken noodle soup, minestrone, stews, and pot roast, where it softens over a long simmer and brightens the finish. It’s a standard in tomato sauces, meatballs, meatloaf, and stuffing, and a natural fit for potato dishes — mashed, roasted, or in potato salad. Whisk it into ranch dressing, herb butter, aioli, and marinades, or fold it into cream cheese, sour cream dips, and compound butters for fish and steak. It’s essential to homemade seasoning blends, from Italian herb mixes to poultry seasoning and everything bagel-style toppings. Sprinkle it over rice pilaf, buttered egg noodles, roasted vegetables, garlic bread, and scrambled eggs, or use it to finish creamy pasta and chicken dishes where a touch of green does as much visually as it does on the palate.

History of Parsley:

Parsley grew wild across the eastern Mediterranean long before it was a kitchen staple, and its early reputation had little to do with cooking. The Greeks associated it with funerals and wove it into victory wreaths for athletes; the Romans carried it more practically, chewing it to freshen breath and spreading it throughout their empire as they went. It settled into European cooking through the Middle Ages, eventually becoming one of the foundational herbs of French cuisine — the backbone of bouquet garni, fines herbes, and persillade. Its migration to the Americas came with European settlers, and it has been a fixture of the home spice rack ever since. CADIA® Organic Parsley continues that long, quiet run with organically grown leaf, dried to keep its color and character intact.

Organic Parsley Testimonial:

“I keep a jar of this next to the stove because it goes into almost everything — soups, sauces, potatoes, dips. Nice green color and it hasn’t faded the way other dried parsley does.” – Nathan D.
