Be a hero around the house with a Calzone Party! You can use any combination of ingredients, just be sure to have enough cheese and sauce. The kids will have fun in the kitchen, and they may even learn a few things. We recommend mini calzones, mini is more!
3 Cheese: Mozzarella + Ricotta + Parmesan
Pepperoni + Jalapeno
Spinach + Mushroom
Sausage + Green Pepper
Ricotta + Hamburger
Vegan Cheese + Olives + Artichoke
2 CADIA® Traditional Pizza Dough
3-4 jars CADIA® Organic Pizza Sauce
1 Beaten Egg
2 tsp. Water
Variety of Fillings
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or spray sheet with CADIA® Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Spray Cooking Oil.
2. Cut the CADIA® Traditional Pizza Dough in 4 pieces. Make little balls, then roll out into even round shape.
3. Place your ingredients + a spoonful of sauce in the middle of each round. Fold over the dough to create the calzone and pinch the edges shut. Using a fork, crimp the edges.
4. Continue filling the mini calzones and reshape dough as needed. Don’t forget to identify calzone ownership, this is important.
5. Transfer mini calzones to prepared baking sheet.
6. An egg wash will seal and shine the calzone. Mix egg and water and lightly brush on the top of your creation.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned.
8. During the last 2 minutes, top with CADIA® Organic Pizza Sauce and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
9. Serve with a side of CADIA® Organic Pizza Sauce, for dipping!
